I have traveled around Lake Okeechobee's big circle many times. The areas are a little different as one travel. Cattle and more cattle, palm trees, sugar cane fields and gorgeous vegetable crops provides beautiful views. I think of my many memories of when there was lack of rain and then too much rain as I traveled the circle of the Big O. Lake Okeechobee provides water for a lot of South Florida so it is a very important factor for those that live in the area. While traveling the roads, it is very common to see a big alligator sunning in the middle of the road. All in all, the scenery is beautiful and is all provided by wonderful nature.
Okeechobee is a City that is located next to the BIG O. Just drive down Hwy 441 and keep driving south and you will drive straight into the Lake. Nice picnic areas await visitors. I just visited Okeechobee yesterday to close a four bedroom, nearly new home that Sunflower Homes and Equestrian, LLC had listed, found the buyer was working to finish the transaction. I was just thinking that Okeechobee has so much to offer for those that wish to have country living. This short sale was unusual as it was a beauty and nearly new. That is not the normal short sale but there are still some to find.
